Description:

This Salsa BootCamp is tailor made for people who are too busy to commit to a regular 6 week class. It�s been said that the best way to learn a new skill is to totally immerse yourself into learning that specific skill.

This class is for all levels.

We will START by teaching you the fundamental patterns & steps of Salsa, giving you the foundation & building blocks to make you comfortable on the dance floor. We will build upon each pattern every hour cementing & building a solid set of cool combinations that you can immediately use at the Latin clubs.

This coming Thursday, June 26th TangoEvolution starts new Beginner�s series. Take advantage of our unique class structure, highly qualified teaching staff and unbeatable prices!

8pm to 9pm - Beginner's Series
Our beginner classes are structured in the form of 6 weeks series. There are 3 main 6-weeks series focusing on core tango basics like Walking and Turning; Musicality and Rhythm; Cross & Ochos. Absolute Beginners can start at the beginning of ANY of the 6-week series, and anyone is welcome to attend this class as it's always helpful to review the basics.

You do not need a partner to take the Beginner classes. We switch partners during the class and make sure that everyone gets plenty of dance time.

We recommend that everyone wear closed-toe shoes that fit your feet comfortably and snugly, preferably with leather bottoms that allow you to pivot easily.

9pm � 10pm � 2 tracks of classes: Advanced Beginner and Intermediate/Advanced class.

10pm-10:30 (or later) � practica

Note: Please arrive 5-10 min before the class to pay, change shoes, etc.

INTENSIVE BEGINNERS TANGO WORKSHOP

Barbara Durr and Angel Montero will teach a special Intensive Beginners' Workshop Saturday JULY 12, 2:30-6pm.

This workshop is intended for beginners to have a first contact with tango, more experienced dancers that want to go over the basics and for those of you that already have some experience but want to know more about close embrace tango, the style that predominates in the crowded milongas of central Buenos Aires. The workshops will cover posture, walking, basic choreography and navigation, among other things. We will go over the material covered in our regular 6-week Fun with Fundamental series. Come and learn from Barbara Durr, one of the most renown milonguero teachers in the country.

Price: $30 per person ($20 for students).

The Atlanta Metro DanceSport Chapter of USA Dance would like to take this opportunity to invite everyone to participate in our 2nd annual competition, the Atlanta Dancesport Challenge, Saturday, June 28, 2008. The competition will be held at Atlanta Ballroom Dance Centre in Sandy Springs.

This competition will include both Pro/Am and Amateur events and will be professionally judged. The Challenge is open to all competitors, USA Dance membership is NOT required to participate.

The cost of entry is $9 per single-dance event and $25 per multi-dance event. Spectators can join in the fun for only $5!

We will have both a dress vendor and a shoe vendor on-site.
