moving to Atlanta...

Postby LeAnn » Sat May 10, 2003 6:18 pm

Hello,

I am moving to Atlanta in a few weeks and I was wondering where some good Milongas are. I started tangoing only about 7 monthes ago, after about three monthes of classes in San Francisco as well. The Tango scene here in New Orleans is great but very small.I am excited to move to Atlanta!!

What I was hoping for is recomendations for internediate classe s(I have a lindyhop background, so I am at the intermediate level for Tango) and some recomendations for lively weekend Milongas with friendly dancers, who, hopefully, may be in thier late 29's and early 30's:)

If anyone could let me know that would be great!

Best,

LeAnn

I would suggest contacting Ronda Patino with Tango Rio. She should be able to help you find some good Milongas. Here is here website:

For Lindy Hop, you might want to check out the Georgia Tech Dance Association:

One of Dwight Yoakam dancers and a choreographer for pop-stars is moving to Atlanta. He will be teaching Ballet/Jazz/Hip-Hop and Tripple Threat Classes in Buford at Performing Arts Academy "5*6*7*8 Dance".
Check out his web-site.
